Alewijnse

Alewijnse is an electrical engineering and automation company headquartered in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. In the marine sector it designs and installs electrical installations, power distribution, power conversion and vessel automation for superyachts, dredgers, offshore and government vessels.

Its power conversion work covers hybrid energy solutions, including dual-fuel systems and battery storage for spinning reserve and peak shaving, integrated with AC and DC grid electric propulsion drives. The company also performs battery sizing, power quality analysis and hardware-in-the-loop testing of hybrid grid configurations. Vessel automation includes vessel management, alarm, monitoring and control systems and dredge control systems, alongside navigation and communication integration.

Reference projects shown by the company include the Maersk Connector, the Amels 60 Limited Editions series, the LNG-capable TSHD Samuel de Champlain, the Antarctic supply and research vessel Nuyina, and the hybrid explorer yachts Poseidon and Arizona. Alewijnse reports activity in 66 countries, with more than ten offices in the Netherlands, France, Spain, Romania and Vietnam, and a research partnership with TU Delft since 2022.
