Blokland Non-Ferro

Blokland Non Ferro is a family-owned Dutch maker of cooling and propulsion equipment for ships and industry. It is based in Sliedrecht, with a southern sales office in Beugen that opened in 2021. Brothers Jan and Wim Blokland founded it in 1962, building yachts and heat exchangers. After Jan Blokland died in 1996 his daughter Corine took over, and the third generation joined in 2021. The company employs more than 50 people.

Blokland began making box coolers and propeller shaft systems in the 1980s. Its cooling range now covers custom box coolers from about 0.5 to over 150 m² of cooling surface, supplied with steel or aluminium welding frames. It also makes bottom-type coolers for low installation heights and shell-and-tube heat exchangers and oil coolers with removable tube stacks. Plate heat exchangers and expansion tanks complete the range. Coolers can carry class certificates from ABS, BV, DNV, KR, LR, NK, RINA and RS, and anti-fouling options include ICAF, ultrasonic systems and the group's GreenSonic hybrid system.

The Blokland group also includes Blokland Propulsion, Blokland Components, GreenSonic, Current Motion (electric thrusters) and Arka (electric propulsion). In 2026 it took over the trading activities of BT Marine Nederland.
