EST-Floattech

EST-Floattech develops and supplies maritime energy storage systems from its headquarters and production facility in Badhoevedorp, the Netherlands. It was formed in 2015 through a merger and has delivered battery systems for more than 300 projects, including inland vessels, ferries, yachts and workboats. YARD ENERGY joined as the company's fourth investor.

The main product line is the modular Octopus Series of maritime battery systems. Octopus High Energy is aimed at installations from around 100 kWh up to several megawatt-hours. Octopus High Power is designed for fast charging and discharging, Octopus Lite is a compact version for smaller vessels, and Octopus LFP uses lithium iron phosphate chemistry alongside the company's NMC-based products. The systems are type approved by DNV, Bureau Veritas, Lloyd's Register and RINA, and input data also lists ABS.

For larger energy needs, EST-Floattech offers containerised solutions that package multi-MWh battery systems in container format, including swappable packs. An earlier product line was the Green Orca battery system.
