Evoy

Evoy is a Norwegian manufacturer of high-power electric propulsion systems for boats, founded in 2018 and based in Florø. It supplies complete electric outboard and inboard systems with batteries and charging for recreational boats, aquaculture service craft, tourism and workboats.

The product range is named after wind strengths. Breeze (90+ kW continuous, 120+ hp) is offered as outboard and inboard; Gale (150+ kW, 200+ hp) is an outboard scheduled for 2026; Storm (about 222-225 kW continuous, 300+ hp, 450 kW peak) comes as outboard and inboard; and Hurricane (300+ kW continuous, 400+ hp, 600 kW peak) is available as inboard and outboard. Systems use 63, 126 or 189 kWh battery packs and support DC fast charging from 20-80% in under an hour, plus over-the-air updates and remote diagnostics.

Evoy received a EUR 16 million EU Innovation Fund grant in 2024 and has partnerships with boatbuilders including Frauscher and Axopar. A next-generation Breeze inboard with new battery technology was introduced in 2025.
