About HD Construction Equipment
HD Construction Equipment is the HD Hyundai company formed on 1 January 2026 by merging HD Hyundai Infracore into HD Hyundai Construction Equipment. The engine business, with more than 60 years of history, was kept as a core division. It supplies generator, industrial, automotive and marine engines and is developing electrification products.
The marine propulsion range goes back to the former Doosan marine engine line. It covers in-line six-cylinder engines of 5.9 to 11.1 litres, such as the L136, L086TI, MD196TI, L126TI and the newer 4L066C, 4L086C, 4L126TI and 4L126C. At the top are V8 (V158TI, 4V158TI, 4V158C) and V12 (V222TI) engines. Ratings run from 118 kW to 736 kW at 1,800–2,500 rpm, and emissions compliance ranges from IMO Tier I to Tier II and Tier III, depending on model.
The engines are used in workboats, fishing vessels, leisure craft and military boats. The company also offers marine generator engines for auxiliary power.
