Hengli Engine (Dalian)

Hengli Engine (Dalian) Co., Ltd. is a low-speed marine engine builder established in July 2022 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Hengli Heavy Industries Group, part of China's Hengli Group. Hengli Heavy Industries grew out of the former STX (Dalian) Shipbuilding and has become a major private shipbuilder, and the engine plant mainly supplies the group's own shipyard.

The company signed a licence agreement with MAN Energy Solutions (now Everllence) in July 2023 to build B&W two-stroke engines. Production started in March 2024 and the first engine was delivered in September 2024. Hengli Engine says it has an annual capacity of 180 marine engines, making it the largest single-site marine engine manufacturer in China.

In April 2026 it delivered an 8G95ME-C10.5-GI-EcoEGR LNG dual-fuel engine rated 74,725 hp, which it describes as the most powerful high-pressure gas dual-fuel engine built in China to date. Its programme also includes LPG dual-fuel (ME-LGIP) engines.
