Hidea outboard motors are made by Hangzhou HIDEA Power Machinery Co., Ltd. in Hangzhou, China, a specialised outboard manufacturer with an annual production capacity of 100,000 units. The company exports to more than 80 countries and regions, with about 70% going to Europe, North America and other developed markets, and sells through regional distributors.

The range consists of four-stroke outboards with carburettors from 2.5 to 20 hp, EFI four-stroke outboards from 20 to 150 hp with electronic fuel injection and ECM ignition, and an electric outboard line. Carburettor models are offered with tiller or remote control; EFI models with tiller, front or remote control. Two-stroke outboards have also been part of the brand's range in some markets.

Hidea outboards are mainly used on recreational and small fishing boats.
