Hudong Heavy Machinery (HHM)

Hudong Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. (HHM) is a Shanghai-based marine engine builder belonging to CSSC Power (Group) Corporation within China State Shipbuilding Corporation. It builds low-speed two-stroke main engines under licence from both WinGD and Everllence (B&W) at its Jinqiao production site, and is also an Everllence four-stroke licensee.

HHM set a production record in 2025, with low-speed engine output up 18% year on year. That year it delivered what it describes as the world's first 8S50ME-C9.7-GI-HPSCR LNG dual-fuel engine, China's first 6G60ME-C9.5-GIE-HPSCR ethane dual-fuel engine, China's first 7G50ME-C9.6-LGIM-EGRBP methanol dual-fuel engine and its own first 6G60ME-C10.5-LGIP-HPSCR LPG dual-fuel engine.

The company supplies deep-sea merchant newbuildings, particularly container ships, tankers, bulkers and gas carriers built in Chinese yards. HHM is one of the main Chinese builders serving this market.
