Ingeteam

Ingeteam is a Spanish electrical engineering and power electronics group headquartered in Zamudio, near Bilbao. With more than 85 years of history and over 4,000 employees in 15 countries, it is active in energy generation, grids and efficient consumption, with a dedicated Marine & Ports business line.

For ships, Ingeteam supplies electrical and propulsion systems tailored to each vessel, integrating main and auxiliary systems. Its INGEDRIVE frequency converters (LV800, MV100 W, MV500, MV900) manage electric propulsion, PTI/PTO shaft generators, DC grids, battery charge and discharge, and auxiliary drives. Its INDAR brand builds electric motors (synchronous, squirrel-cage induction and permanent-magnet, including low-speed and submersible types) and generators, which the company says equip more than 900 vessels with over 400 MW installed.

Applications include main and auxiliary propulsion, DC grids, shaft generators, battery energy storage, shore power, pumping and deck machinery, for ferries, fishing vessels, offshore ships, tugs and naval vessels. Ingeteam works with shipyards and integration partners and also supplies onshore power supply for ports.
