Konrad Marine

Konrad Marine designs and manufactures heavy-duty stern drives for commercial, military and high-speed work boats. The drives are built for diesel engines and for long service life in mission-critical applications, and the company presents them as high output propulsion systems.

• 500 series: Konrad 520, 540 (standard and HP models) and 560 stern drives for hard working, high-speed applications
• 600 series: Konrad 620, 660 and 680 second-generation stern drives
• B series: Konrad 620B, 660B and 680B; the 680B offers carrying capacities up to 18,500 lbs per drive and is rated for diesel engines of 550 horsepower

• Accessories, service parts, warranty support, technical documentation and training, with sales through a dealer network

Konrad Marine, Inc. was founded in 1991 by the husband and wife team Ken and Kathy Konrad and is a privately held company based in Hudson, Wisconsin, USA. The founders self-funded all research and development, engineering, manufacturing, testing and product rollouts.

The company entered the marine propulsion industry as an aftermarket supplier of stern drive components compatible with Mercury Alpha drives. Within several years it was manufacturing the entire drive, which was sold under the name Omega to the pleasure boating market.

Konrad went on to build stern drives for high-speed commercial and military applications and launched a second generation, the 600 Series, including the Konrad 680-B. A partnership with Cummins gives the drives access to the worldwide Cummins distribution network.
