MAN Engines

MAN Engines is the engine business unit of MAN Truck & Bus SE, part of Traton SE within the Volkswagen Group, based in Nuremberg, Germany. It supplies engines from 37 to 1,618 kW for on-road, off-road, power generation, rail and marine applications.

Its marine programme covers yacht engines, commercial shipping engines in light-, medium- and heavy-duty ratings, auxiliary engines, hybrid systems and iSea marine electronics. Core models are the six-cylinder D2676 (12.4 L), the V8 D2868 (16.2 L), the V12 D2862 (24.2 L) and the V12 D3872 (29.6 L). Commercial ratings range from 221 kW heavy-duty up to 1,618 kW; yacht versions include the i6, V8 and V12 families up to the V12X-2200 at 1,618 kW. A dual-fuel D2862 variant of 749 kW is also offered.

MAN Engines' marine engines are approved for operation on renewable diesel (HVO), and the range includes EU Stage V, EPA Tier 3 and IMO Tier II versions for tugs, cargo vessels, workboats and yachts.
