About Moteurs Baudouin
Moteurs Baudouin is a French manufacturer of marine diesel engines and complete propulsion packages, based in Cassis. The company dates from the early 20th century and has been owned by China's Weichai Power since 2009.
Baudouin makes high-speed diesels for propulsion and marine generator sets, used in workboats, fishing vessels, ferries and yachts. Its range includes in-line six-cylinder engines such as the 6M26.3, a 15.9-litre engine rated from 105 to 599 kW (140–814 hp) at 1,800–2,100 rpm and certified to IMO II / EPA Tier 3 and RCD 2. Larger engines include V12 versions of the M26 platform and the M33 and M55 families for heavier commercial propulsion and gensets. Versions with SCR aftertreatment, such as the 6M26.3 + SCR, are offered for stricter emission rules.
Recent vessels commissioned with Baudouin engines include Archipel V in France and Vimar III in Portugal.
