Nedstack Fuel Cell Technology
Dutch maker of long-life PEM fuel cell stacks and PemGen hydrogen power installations, including maritime systems up to about 1 MW.
About Nedstack Fuel Cell Technology
Nedstack Fuel Cell Technology is a Dutch manufacturer of proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells based in Arnhem, with about 20 years of experience and more than 500 systems installed. It makes heavy-duty PEM stacks known for long operating life, with FCS XXL stacks approaching 40,000 operating hours, and integrates them into higher-power systems under the PemGen label.
Its stack range comprises the FCS 13-XXL (13 kWe), FCS 10-XXL (10 kWe) and FCS 7 (7 kWe). PemGen installations cover stationary and off-grid power as well as maritime use. The maritime PemGen installations are designed for a range of ship types with reference to the IGF Code provisions for low-flashpoint fuels, and the company holds an Approval in Principle from Bureau Veritas for its maritime fuel cell design. The latest PemGen Generation 3 system delivers 900 kW prime power (1,000 kW peak) at 800 VDC, with maritime approval in progress with Bureau Veritas and RINA.
Nedstack has a long-standing partnership with GE Vernova's Power Conversion business for marine fuel cell solutions and targets inland vessels, workboats, offshore and naval applications. The company also offers a service programme called PemCare.
