Nord Gas Solutions

Nord Gas Solutions supplies gas handling systems and lifecycle services for marine and onshore applications. It is the former Wärtsilä Gas Solutions business. Wärtsilä completed the sale to the German investment company Mutares SE & Co. KGaA on 1 June 2026, and the business took the Nord Gas Solutions name on 24 June 2026. Its roots go back to 1965. The company is Norway-based and has about 500 employees, with offices in Europe, Asia and South America. Revenue for 2025 was about EUR 394 million.

For gas carriers it supplies cargo handling systems for VLGC, LGC and MGC vessels, semi-refrigerated and fully pressurised carriers, small-scale LNG and bunker vessels, and liquefied CO2 carriers. These systems handle LPG, ammonia, ethane, ethylene, propylene, VCM, butadiene and CO2. Other products are fuel gas supply systems for LPG and ammonia, boil-off gas reliquefaction, LNG FSRU regasification solutions, VOC recovery and inert gas systems.

Onshore, its Puregas biogas products cover upgrading (PuregasCA), liquefaction with mixed refrigerant (PuregasMR) and CO2 liquefaction (PuregasBC).
