Praxis Automation Technology

Praxis Automation Technology B.V. is a Dutch company founded in 1965 and based in Leiderdorp, the Netherlands. It develops, manufactures and delivers ship automation, navigation and electric propulsion equipment. The company started with alarm and monitoring systems and now sells an integrated platform under the Mega-Guard name.

Mega-Guard ship automation includes a vessel management system (VMS), power and fleet management, ship performance monitoring, a fire alarm system and engine control system refits. Mega-Guard Navigation covers propulsion control systems, dynamic positioning up to DP3, thruster control and bridge systems such as BNWAS, navigation light and wiper control. Mega-Guard Electric Propulsion adds an energy management system and Praxis components branded GreenMotor, GreenInverter, GreenGenerator and GreenBattery, including containerised batteries.

Praxis serves offshore, dredging, ferry, naval and yacht customers through sales and service operations worldwide. A notable contract is the supply of DP3, VMS and thruster control systems for Bourbon Evolution vessels.
