Steyr Motors

Steyr Motors AG is an Austrian engine manufacturer headquartered in Steyr. Listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 2024, it develops compact, high-power-density diesel engines with a strong focus on military and special-forces applications, alongside government agencies and commercial marine operators.

Its marine range covers 88-215 kW with engine weights of 240-360 kg. The six-cylinder SE6 series includes models from the SE126E32 (88 kW) to the SE306J38 (215 kW), built on a 3.2 L monoblock with 85 mm bore and 94 mm stroke, dual-circuit cooling and multi-fuel capability. The four-cylinder SE4 series includes the SE144E38 (106 kW) and SE164E40 (118 kW). Typical applications are unmanned surface vessels, SOLAS rescue craft, police patrol boats, military RIBs and daughter craft.

Steyr also offers propulsion and hybrid systems built around its engines. The company has seen strong defence-driven demand in recent years.
