Twin Disc

Twin Disc, Inc. is a US manufacturer of power transmission equipment headquartered in Racine, Wisconsin. It serves marine and industrial markets through about 250 distributor sales and service locations in 83 countries.

In marine propulsion it offers more than 100 transmission models covering about 35 to over 4,000 hp. These include the Standard MG series, QuickShift (MGX) transmissions with integrated electronic clutch control, and MGE and MGH gearboxes for full-electric, serial-hybrid and parallel-hybrid drivelines. Its own propulsion brands are Arneson Surface Drives for high-speed yachts and patrol craft, Rolla submerged and surface-piercing propellers, and Veth Propulsion. Control products include the Express Joystick System (EJS) and Express Positioning.

Twin Disc has expanded by acquisition. In 2024 it bought Katsa Oy, a Finnish gear manufacturer, and Kobelt, a Canadian maker of propulsion, steering, thruster and braking controls. Its products are used on pleasure craft, patrol and military boats, and commercial and fast commercial craft.
