Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd., headquartered in Iwata, Japan, is a major outboard motor manufacturer. Its marine business supplies recreational, fishing and commercial boats, and yamahaoutboards.com is its US outboard site.

The four-stroke gasoline range runs from 2.5 hp portables to the flagship XTO Offshore. The XTO is a 5.6-litre direct-injection V8 rated at 425 and 450 hp. In between are the V6 Offshore 4.3-litre F350, the 4.2-litre V6 (225–300 hp), in-line fours (150–200 hp), mid-range 30–115 hp models and small 2.5–25 hp portables. Yamaha also offers V MAX SHO performance outboards, jet-drive and high-thrust versions, and the Helm Master EX joystick and automation system for one to five engines.

In electric propulsion, Yamaha developed HARMO, a rim-drive electric system with a 48 V battery that integrates with Helm Master EX. In 2024 it acquired Torqeedo from DEUTZ, adding electric outboards and inboards such as the 1–3 hp Ultralight and the Travel and Cruise ranges. Torqeedo products are now sold alongside Yamaha outboards.
