Yuchai Marine Power (YCMP)

Yuchai Marine Power Co., Ltd. (YCMP) is a Chinese low-speed marine engine builder in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, on the Pearl River Delta. It belongs to Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group. Unlike most Chinese low-speed builders, it is not part of CSSC, and it holds licences from both WinGD and Everllence.

YCMP became a Wärtsilä low-speed licensee in October 2009; that licence is now held with WinGD. It operates a factory of about 48,000 m². In November 2011 it started its first Wärtsilä X35, an electronically controlled low-speed engine, and at the same time it signed the first supply contracts for X40 engines. It builds WinGD X and X-DF engines as well as Everllence B&W two-stroke engines for deep-sea merchant ships.

In July 2025 YCMP broke ground in Zhuhai on a test platform for ammonia-fuelled low-speed engines, designed to test ammonia engines from both WinGD and Everllence. Headway Technology Group is supplying the ammonia fuel supply system as a turnkey EPC project.
