?Lockheed Martin is buying naval defense 'company Ultra Maritime' from private equity firm Advent for $3.45billion, bolstering a?strong portfolio?as the global soaring demand for military technology.
Lockheed's rotary systems and mission systems will include Ultra Maritime after the announcement of the Monday deal. Lockheed reported a revenue of $17.3 billion by 2025, and 35,000 employees worldwide.

Ultra Maritime specializes in?anti-submarine war and undersea defence technologies. It is a division of Cobham Ultra, which was created after Advent purchased British aerospace company Cobham, and combined it with Ultra Electronics, following the 2022 'takeover.
Lockheed stated that Ultra Maritime’s international presence, a portfolio exportable technologies for anti-submarine war, and?naval?sonar sensing system, would complement and expand their?existing sonar solutions.
Ultra Maritime was awarded a contract by the U.S. 'Navy to develop its underwater acoustic 'decoy designed to protect submarines or ships from torpedoes.
