Maritime Propeller Repairs (MPR) moved to new premises in Drunen, the township in The Netherlands which is fast becoming a center for propulsion expertise.
After Wärtsilä moved production outside The Netherlands the workshops and foundry vacated by the engine builder have developed into becoming the perfect base for a number of propeller specialists. Now located at Drunen are MPR (propeller repair specialists), MPS (propulsion specialists providing service and components), the foundry Gieterij Drunen (one of the largest in Europe), the BMC machine workshop and Sip Marine (propeller designers and manufacturers). The capacity for non-ferrous products is 55 tons and for ferrous products the limit is 15 tons.
The new workshop provides facilities for the production and repair of very large propellers or orders involving many pieces.
