RATO highly flexible couplings for main-propulsion drivelines between engine, gearbox and shafting.

The RATO family is VULKAN's main line of highly flexible couplings for marine main propulsion. Its variants include S/S+, DS/DS+, R/R+ and DG/DG+. They are installed between engine and gearbox, or between gearbox and shafting, to shift torsional resonances, damp vibration and allow for misalignment. They are used across merchant, cruise, naval, tug and yacht drivelines.
