Cryostar

Cryostar is a manufacturer of cryogenic machinery based in Hésingue, France, and part of Linde plc. The company says it has designed and made cryogenic equipment for more than four decades. In the marine market it is a key component supplier to fuel gas supply system integrators and shipyards.

Its marine products fall into three groups. LNG cargo handling machinery includes boil-off gas compressors, heaters, LNG vaporisers, mist separators and gas coolers used for tank pressure control and fuel supply on LNG carriers. Examples are the SCM 360 oil-flooded screw compressor and EcoChill LNG subcoolers. LNG fuel systems include submerged feed/fuel gas pumps with variable-speed motors and high-pressure reciprocating fuel pumps rated up to 500 bar for high-pressure gas-injection engines. Cryostar also supplies LNG transfer equipment.

Its customers include LNG carriers, FSRUs and LNG-fuelled vessels.
