About E.J. Bowman (Birmingham) Ltd
E.J. Bowman (Birmingham) Ltd is a UK maker of shell-and-tube heat exchangers and oil coolers, based on Chester Street, Birmingham. It has more than a century of manufacturing history. Bowman heat exchangers have cooled marine propulsion systems for over 60 years, and the company holds ISO 9001 certification.
The marine range covers engine heat exchangers for engines up to about 1 MW, including replacement units for Cummins, Ford, Mitsubishi and Perkins marine engines. It also includes header-tank heat exchangers that prevent air locks, marine transmission and engine oil coolers, and eight standard charge air coolers (EC120 to RK250) for engines of 50–850 kW. Marine versions have naval-brass end covers and copper-nickel or titanium tube stacks, and fully floating tube stacks can be removed for cleaning. For electric and hybrid boats, Bowman supplies more than 40 models for heat loads of 3–700 kW, cooling motors, batteries, chargers, inverters, converters and fuel cells.
