About HamiltonJet
HamiltonJet is a New Zealand manufacturer of waterjet propulsion systems based in Christchurch and owned by the Hamilton family through CWF Hamilton & Co. Ltd. The company, with more than 80 years of history, is regarded as a pioneer of the modern waterjet and has recently opened a new factory in Christchurch to meet demand.
Its waterjet families include the HJ series (260-900 kW) for patrol, rescue, pilot and recreational craft; the HM series for larger high-speed vessels; the HT and HTX series, whose latest HTX65 handles 3,100 kW; the HJX series; and the LTX series, which the company says rivals propeller efficiency and bollard pull at 0-30 knots. Jets are supplied with AVX and AVXexpress control systems.
HamiltonJet also develops autonomy and skipper-assist functions (JETanchor, JETlink, JETfighter), an electric-hybrid drive system (EHX) and the Overwatch digital monitoring platform. Markets include patrol and naval craft, fast ferries, pilot boats, search and rescue, wind farm crew transfer, fishing and leisure.
