Kanzaki Kokyukoki

Kanzaki Kokyukoki Mfg. Co., Ltd. is a Japanese manufacturer of transmissions and hydraulic equipment, headquartered in Amagasaki, Hyogo Prefecture, and part of the Yanmar Holdings group. Alongside transmissions for agricultural, construction and outdoor-power machinery, it produces marine gears. These reverse-reduction transmissions carry engine power to the propeller and provide ahead, astern and neutral.

The current marine line has two families. The KMH series uses wet multi-plate hydraulic clutches and includes the KMH40A, KMH50A, KMH50V, KMH61A and KMH61V, with A (angle) and V (V-drive) arrangements. The KM series uses cone clutches and includes the KM2P-1, KM35A-2, KM35P and KM4A-2 for smaller engines. The KMH61A, for example, is rated at an input torque of 1,070 Nm at 5,500 rpm, offers reduction ratios of 1.55, 2.04 and 2.43:1 and has a dry weight of 58 kg.

Kanzaki gears are paired mainly with Yanmar and other Japanese marine diesels on fishing boats, small workboats and pleasure craft. They are sold through engine manufacturers and marine dealers worldwide.
