Marine Jet Power

Marine Jet Power (MJP) is a waterjet propulsion manufacturer founded in Sweden in 1986 and headquartered in Uppsala. It has offices in the United States (Blacklick, Ohio), South Korea (Busan), India (Goa) and Singapore. MJP says its waterjets power more than 900 vessels in over 100 countries, across naval and government craft, patrol boats, fast ferries, yachts, workboats and offshore vessels.

In 2012 MJP acquired Ultra Dynamics, owner of the UltraJet brand, adding axial-flow waterjets to its mixed-flow designs. The current range has five product lines. The CSU (550–1750 CSU, 2.5–24 MW) and DRB (400–850 DRB, 1.25–6 MW) are duplex stainless steel mixed-flow jets for vessels of 26–200 m. The X-Series (280X–500X, 0.6–2.1 MW) has an aluminium body and a duplex pump for high-speed craft of 12–40 m, with an X-HT variant. The aluminium UltraJet (305/340, 0.3–0.45 MW) has more than 15,000 units in service. The PodJet 330 (110 kW) is a compact unit for amphibious vehicles.

MJP also supplies propulsion controls and lifecycle support. References include the Indian Coast Guard's fast interceptor craft and amphibious landing craft.
