REINTJES GmbH is a German manufacturer of marine gearboxes headquartered in Hameln, Lower Saxony. Founded in 1879, it is organised as a foundation-owned company focused on long-term stability, employs around 500 people and has subsidiaries around the world.
Reintjes supplies propulsion gearboxes for ferries, workboats, yachts, naval and government vessels and merchant ships across a power range of roughly 250 to 40,000 kW. The programme includes WAF/LAF hydraulically shiftable reverse-reduction gearboxes with vertical offset, WVS/WVSA/WVSF reverse-reduction gears, WF gears, twin-input and multi-engine combining gearboxes (DLG/DUG), and VLJ gearboxes for waterjet drives.
The company increasingly offers hybrid and fully electric drive solutions, highlighted by the TME Hybrid System, a hybrid propulsion unit for ferries, yachts, supply and workboats and naval vessels. A gearbox configurator on its website supports selection.
