Shaanxi Diesel Engine Heavy Industry (SXD)

Shaanxi Diesel Engine Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (SXD) is a Chinese marine and industrial engine manufacturer in Xingping, Shaanxi Province. It belongs to the China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) group and was previously part of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation. Everllence (formerly MAN Energy Solutions) lists SXD as one of its four-stroke licensees.

SXD is a key supplier of medium-speed diesels to the Chinese navy. It builds SEMT Pielstick-designed PA6 engines under licence, including the PA6 STC 16-cylinder, which powers ships such as the Type 054A frigates, as well as PC2-series engines. For merchant ships it produces Everllence four-stroke engines under licence for propulsion and generating sets.

The company also makes 150-series diesel engines, 396-series engines licensed from MTU Friedrichshafen, stand-alone generator sets and aftermarket fuel injection components.
