Woodward, Inc. is a US designer and manufacturer of control solutions for the aerospace and industrial markets, headquartered in Fort Collins, Colorado. It has about 30 locations, more than 10,000 employees and 224 distributors, and reported USD 3.3 billion in sales in 2024.

In marine propulsion, Woodward is a key supplier of engine and turbine controls to diesel, gas and dual-fuel engine builders and to shipbuilders. Its marine offer covers controls, actuation and valves for engines and turbines in workboats, fishing vessels, bulk carriers, dredgers, cruise ships and naval vessels. It includes engine control systems that meet redundancy and dynamic positioning requirements, and digital supervisory controls for load sharing, load shedding and soft loading.

The product range includes hydraulic-mechanical governors such as the UG-25+ used in marine applications, the PG family for the largest engines, and the EGB electronically controlled actuator with mechanical backup, used on diesel and dual-fuel marine engines. It also covers Large Engine Control Modules (LECM) for gas, diesel and dual-fuel engines, SOGAV gas admission valves, and fuel systems including electronic unit pumps, unit injectors and common rail.
