Press conference to address the results of the Voith Linear Jet’s first year in operation
The latest performance information from the first year’s operations of the Voith Linear Jet (VLJ) will be revealed at a press conference on Tuesday June 16, 2016 at Seawork International in Southampton, U.K.
Launched at last year’s Seawork International, the VLJ combines elements of two existing technologies: conventional screw propellers and water jets.
Voith Turbo recently announced that, as a result of recent experience in the North Sea, the VLJ could save operators and owners as much as £75,000 in fuel costs in a season while producing more thrust with less noise and vibration.
At upcoming the press conference, Voith Turbo’s marine manager, Mark Harvey, will reveal new outstanding bollard pull figures for the VLJ which out-performs vessels using conventional propulsion systems.
