Anemoi's rotor sail uses a lightweight composite rotating cylinder on a steel tower and is scalable across standard sizes for bulk carriers, tankers, gas carriers, RoRos, ferries and container ships. Fixed foundations suit vessels without cargo or air-draft constraints; the patented rail system lets rotors be moved along or across the deck in port, and the hydraulic folding system lowers them to horizontal, each in about 10 minutes. The company quotes a 25-year design life, operation in winds up to 35 m/s, EX-rated options, and installation without dry-docking.
