Bakker Sliedrecht integrates complete electrical power and propulsion systems, mainly for dredging and offshore vessels. Scope includes diesel-electric propulsion with DP, water-cooled drive systems, high-voltage and low-voltage switchboards, MCCs, control desks, e-motors and generators, submersible motors, cabling and installation, and harmonics and FMEA studies. A recent reference is a cutter suction dredger powered entirely from shore at 10 MW via a 33 kV cable, with onboard conversion to 400 V and 690 V.
