Naval nuclear reactors & components

BWXT manufactures nuclear reactors and major reactor plant components for the US Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. Its reactors power Ohio-, Virginia-, Seawolf- and Los Angeles-class submarines and the Columbia-class under construction, and it supports Nimitz- and Ford-class aircraft carriers. Work is carried out in Lynchburg (reactors), Barberton and Euclid, Ohio, and Mount Vernon, Indiana (heavy components). BWXT says it has delivered more than 350 naval reactors and components since the 1950s.
