LFP energy storage for large vessels; 24.12 kWh modules, scalable from 1 MWh to over 200 MWh; DNV type approved.
Blue Whale NxtGen is Corvus' LFP, cobalt-free battery system for large vessels such as cruise ships, RoRo/RoPax, merchant ships and yachts. Each module holds 24.12 kWh at 77 VDC (314 Ah). Packs range from 96 to 338 kWh, and systems scale from 1 MWh to more than 200 MWh. Energy density is 204 Wh/l and up to 136 Wh/kg. Modules are IP66 with passive single-cell thermal runaway isolation, in liquid- and air-cooled versions. DNV type approval has been received.
