Aeroderivative marine gas turbines of about 25–35 MW; LM2500 used by 39 navies with 1,500+ installations.
The LM2500 is rated at 33,600 shp (25,060 kW) with a 3,600 rpm power turbine and SFC of 227 g/kWh. GE reports 39 navies and more than 1,500 installations. The LM2500+ increased flow capacity, and the fourth-generation LM2500+G4 delivers 47,370 shp (35,320 kW) at 214 g/kWh, 41% more power than the LM2500. Applications include frigates, destroyers, cruisers, carriers and generator sets.
