High-power aeroderivative turbine of 46–53 MW for amphibious ships, FPSOs and LNG carriers, as mechanical drive or generator set.
The LM6000 is GE's highest-power marine aeroderivative. The LM6000PC is rated at 61,851 shp (46,123 kW) and the LM6000PG at 70,656 shp (52,689 kW). It is used on military amphibious ships, floating production and offloading vessels and LNG carriers, either as a mechanical drive for propulsion or as a generator set for electric drive. More than 1,200 units have shipped across industrial and marine uses.
