AirWing Jet Sail
Rigid wing sail using powered airflow (Jet Sail technology) to produce high thrust from limited deck space and air draft.
The AirWing is GT Wings' wind-assisted propulsion unit. It is a rigid wing that uses fan-driven airflow, which the company calls Jet Sail technology, to increase the propulsive force produced for a given size, making it suitable for ships with limited deck area or air draft. A 20 m demonstrator has operated on the general cargo ship Vectis Progress since March 2025, and Lloyd's Register has verified the company's method for measuring in-service savings. The first commercial order is for Grieg Maritime's Star Kirkenes.
