Honda electric outboard
Electric propulsion under development; a 5 hp (about 4 kW) system was in pilot testing in Japan in 2024.
At the 2024 Miami International Boat Show, Honda said it was pilot-testing a 5 hp (about 4 kW) electric propulsion system in Japan, using motors from its small electric motorcycles. It plans to apply the same electrification technology to small outboard motors. No production model or ratings had been published on Honda Marine's outboard site at the time of review.
