Mitsubishi S6R / S12R / S16R marine engines
Six-, twelve- and sixteen-cylinder high-speed marine diesels from about 605 kW to 1,690 kW for workboats, tugs, fishing vessels and ferries.
MHI's R-series marine engines cover inline six-cylinder S6R/S6R2 models (about 605-759 kW), the V12 S12R (1,210-1,342 kW) and the V16 S16R/S16R2 (up to 1,690 kW). The S16R-MPTAW, for example, is a 65.37-litre V16 with 170 x 180 mm bore and stroke, rated 912-1,690 kW at 1,450-1,800 rpm for fishing, inland, short-sea and tug applications. The engines are offered for main propulsion and, in several versions, as generator drives.
