The Norsepower Rotor Sail is a fully automated Flettner rotor using the Magnus effect, offered in five sizes: 20 x 4 m, 24 x 4 m, 28 x 4 m, 30 x 5 m and 35 x 5 m. It operates at the push of a button and, unlike conventional sails, needs no sail handling. The Tilting Foundation lowers the rotor to horizontal for air-draft restrictions, and the AI-based Sentient Control (2024) adapts operation to conditions. Norsepower cites typical fuel savings of 5-25%.
