46 m tall rigid wing sail (about 40 x 14 m sail) that can be tilted and stowed for port and bridge clearance.
Wing 560 is Oceanbird's rigid wing sail, 46 m tall with a sail of about 40 by 14 m. It has a carbon-steel mast and foundation and composite flap and panels, weighs about 200 t and consumes 6-10 kW in operation. A hydraulic system tilts the wing for clearance. It is designed for PCTCs, bulkers and tankers over 200 m, with a 25-year design life; the first unit was retrofitted on Wallenius' Tirranna.
