KLT-40S
150 MWt marine PWR used on the floating nuclear power plant Akademik Lomonosov; derived from icebreaker KLT-40 reactors.
The KLT-40S is a marine pressurised water reactor of about 150 MWt. It uses low-enriched uranium fuel below 20% (average 14.1%), with refuelling about every three years. It powers the floating nuclear power plant Akademik Lomonosov. Earlier versions include the KLT-40 on the LASH carrier Sevmorput and the KLT-40M on the Taymyr-class icebreakers.
