Mitsubishi-UE (UEC) engines
Licence-built Mitsubishi-UE (now J-ENG UEC) low-speed engines; the first 6UEC43LSII, of 6,300 kW at 160 rpm, was completed in 2010.
Under a technology licence from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, YMD builds Mitsubishi-UE low-speed engines, a design line now managed by J-ENG. Its first unit, a 6UEC43LSII delivering 6,300 kW (8,580 PS) at 160 rpm, was completed in 2010 for a timber/cargo carrier under construction in Fujian Province. MHI said further production would follow.
