Bruntons Propellers

Bruntons Propellers is a British propeller designer and foundry based in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, which marks around 150 years of propeller making. The company says it designs and manufactures almost every type of propeller in regular use, and supplies custom propellers and complete sterngear packages for workboats, yachts, superyachts and naval vessels.

Custom fixed-pitch propellers are produced up to about 3 m diameter in the company's own Nikalium and Superston alloys, high-tensile manganese bronze or stainless steel; larger propellers are referred to its sister company Stone Marine Propulsion. Bruntons is best known in the leisure market for the Autoprop, a self-pitching feathering propeller for cruising yachts and displacement motor boats up to 350 hp, and its Eco*Star variant for electric and hybrid boats. It also makes the Varifold folding propeller for larger yachts and racing boats (10-1,000 hp), the Sigmadrive anti-vibration shaft coupling, AutoLock and IonGuard products.

The company also sells parts and accessories through an online shop.
