Varifold is Bruntons' folding propeller for larger yachts and racing sailboats. The blades fold closed under sail to reduce drag and open under power. Bruntons quotes an application range of about 10 to 1,000 hp, extending folding-propeller use to larger yachts than typical small-boat folding props.
