About FPT Industrial
FPT Industrial is the powertrain brand of Iveco Group, headquartered in Turin, Italy. Besides on-road, off-road and power generation engines, it builds a marine engine range for pleasure craft, commercial vessels and marine generating sets.
The marine line is built on three engine families. The compact F1 series covers about 85-129 kW for commercial use. The NEF series (N40 and N67, 4-6.7 litres) covers roughly 63-390 kW in professional ratings and up to 419 kW for pleasure craft such as cruisers up to about 18 m. The Cursor series (Cursor 9, 13 and 16, 8.7-15.9 litres) reaches 735 kW at 2,300 rpm with the Cursor 16, in light-, medium- and heavy-duty ratings certified to IMO, EPA, EU RCD and RINA requirements. FPT states that its professional marine engines can run on HVO and other XTL drop-in fuels, and it quotes service intervals of up to 600 hours.
Tata Motors agreed to acquire Iveco Group, including FPT, for about EUR 3.8 billion; the deal received Italian approval in October 2025 and closing is expected in early November 2026.
