GE Vernova Power Conversion & Storage

GE Vernova Power Conversion & Storage is the power electronics and rotating machines business of GE Vernova, formerly GE Power Conversion and originally Converteam. According to the input data it sits in GE Vernova's Electrification Systems segment and was not divested.

In marine propulsion it supplies complete electric power and propulsion systems: induction and permanent-magnet motors and generators, medium-voltage drives (including the MV7000 family), switchboards, power converters and power management. Commercial systems cover 1–40 MW, can be scaled to 120 MW and use voltages up to 13.8 kV. They serve cruise ships, LNG carriers, tankers, offshore and support vessels. SeaGreen products add shaft power take-off for LNG carriers and battery storage for hybrid retrofits.

The naval business has supplied equipment to 13 navies. Its shock-rated equipment covers 3 MW to 110 MW, with integrated full-electric propulsion (IFEP), hybrid-electric and submarine configurations. References include the Royal Navy's Type 45 destroyers and Queen Elizabeth-class carriers, a 3.4 MW motor for the Type 26 frigate and the US Navy DDG 1000. The business also works with Nedstack on marine fuel cells.
