Thrustmaster of Texas

Thrustmaster of Texas, Inc. is a privately held US manufacturer of marine propulsion and thruster systems, headquartered in Houston, Texas. Its 60-acre site in northwest Houston has more than 200,000 sq ft of manufacturing space and overhead cranes of up to 100 tons. The company has sales offices in Rotterdam, Singapore, China, Dubai and Brazil and a service office in Houma, Louisiana.

The product range includes azimuth thrusters (Z- and L-drive) for main and auxiliary propulsion, tunnel thrusters, retractable thrusters for dynamic positioning, and portable or outboard propulsion units that can be mounted on the deck of barges. It also makes T-Pod electric podded thrusters, hybrid propulsion systems and DP systems. Drives can be diesel, electric or hydraulic.

Thrustmaster has added waterjets to its range and brought waterjet manufacturing to the United States. The waterjets cover about 100–6,400 kW in 15 model sizes for vessels from 6 m to over 60 m, which suits Buy-American programmes. Its main markets are offshore vessels, workboats, barges and government and naval craft.
