Bergen B33:45 liquid-fuel engines
Medium-speed liquid-fuel engines of 3.5-7.2 MW (marine) for propulsion and gensets in cruise, ferry, offshore, naval and commercial vessels.
The B33:45 is Bergen's main liquid-fuel engine family, available as inline (L6, L8, L9) and V-configuration engines. For marine use Bergen quotes 3.5-5.4 MW for the B33:45L and 7.0-7.2 MW for the B33:45V, with a rating of about 600 kW per cylinder and rated speeds of 720/750 rpm. The engines serve as main propulsion or generating sets in cruise ships, ferries, offshore and naval vessels, and Bergen states that the platform can be converted to gas operation. The earlier B32:40 is a predecessor model.
